From two people with a PowerPoint in 2017, talking about building nuclear powered spacecraft, to a team of 30 seeing our first two vehicles (non-nuclear) being launched by SpaceX in 2024, Atomos has had many ups and downs through the years. Hardware is hard, but by continually pushing forward, we’ve been able to change US space policy, raise several rounds of funding, hire an amazing team, build unique spacecraft rendezvous test facilities, and eventually build two satellites. We’ll be sharing some of our lessons learned through the years in the hope that others can also learn from our experience.
